Tico tico (instrumental ukulele video)
I took lessons back on the island. Since it was my ukulele teacher's , Terry Brown, 10th year opening up his business, I promised him a classic ukulele song upload that he taught us. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be where I'm at today as far as music knowledge goes. He taught me the fundamentals of ukulele picking, strumming, chord structures and solo instrumentals. I've been a bit rusty as the years pass but I always try to practice here and there. Here goes nothing, with the song called Tico Tico, enjoy!

Biggest Tattoo Show On Earth
Biggest Tattoo Show on Earth was held at Mandalay Bay convention center. free for locals so we were able to check it out today. a lot of talented artists and cool artwork. Tattoo shops from around the US, samoa, japan, and france from what i remember.

booyaa tribe: so i noticed this guy from one of my street world books. I was pretty intimidated to ask for a picture so i asked if he was featured in a book. he said "yeah i'm in a couple of books and magazine."
so i asked is it cool to take a pic?
he goes yeah no doubt. we take the pic and he goes "you from Hawaii?"
i said yeah, waipahu!
he goes "WAIPAHU, I family there, USO's"
chee hoo USOfam! ;-)

"good things happen to those who wait"
1st time performing CPR
Today, as usual I was scheduled in the Emergency Room. I though it was going to be a slow thursday. around 11ish a patient went into cardiac arrest and the staff was performing CPR. The officer there said "you ready to get in?"
lab tech goes "yeah get ready (laughing)."
rad tech says "imma point at you if they need help."
-I just laugh it off thinking that it was joke. then the nurse says
"get ready you need to take over."
-i said " really, are you serious?"
she says "yeah glove up and get in there."
-so i gloved up, got in and took over.
the ekg tech said push hard because he was a heavy patient. i needed to use my strength. All through my mind i thought to myself, "what if i break his ribs?" instead i performed my job, dr. told me to HOLD COMPRESSION. he felt for a pulse simply said. that's it, not much more we can do for him. and the patient passed.
3 minutes later another code came in and again they were performing cpr on this patient. ekg tech asked if i wanted to get in, i said "yeah i'll do it since i'm fresh, you were giving compressions thru that whole cycle, i'll take over."
emt said "you ready, got it after me?"
-i simply replied and feeling the adrenalin rush through my body i said "yes i got you." then i took over and did a couple compressions. Dr. stopped me once again and said, i think i got something. The patients pulse started up again and he was revived.
It's crazy how I'll talk to other hospital employees and some will say they have never done cpr except on a dummy, and just my luck I had to perform twice today. I guess you can say i'm 1 for 2. pretty crazy.
***Thank you God for carrying me through this excperience and giving me the strength i needed to stay focused.

Hawaii warriors vs UNLV rebels

rolanda headed the UH vs UNLV tailgate. 'twas a success. thanks to every one who came out. I ended up having to run the grill. All those times throwing bbq's at my place and not grilling... finally caught up to me. It was good for the most part though. there were many different groups and each of them were ashamed to grab food till the last minute. the game went well, it was a back and forth game, score 34-33 unlv. THEY deserved it cuz they played hard. good job rebels. A lot of rebel fans started talking smack and cheering. I'm surprised there were less fights than 07' UH vs UNLV game.

*****thanks @rufio_o for being camera whore :-p! haven't brought my point and shoot out for a while. so you pretty much covering most/all the events i'm at. and @rolandaaa for the UH unlv pics.
**i need a canon point and shoot :D.
ken's bday
