tough times

With the constant changing weather hitting the Vegas atmosphere, people start to get sick again. I've been having some nasal congestion and with the symptoms of a cold coming along, I started depleting my water bottle supply. I decided to replenish and buy 2 more cases. while at fresh & easy, I finished my water shopping and started loading the trunk. then some lady pulls up asking for help and you know how that goes. But this was no ordinary "bum" you would say.

lady: i'm sorry to bother you, but i really need help, my grandfather who we brought over here to watch a show from bellagio just suffered a heart attack. He's over at St. rose dominican. if you would like to call him, you may do so.
me: I wish i could help you right now but i don't have any cash on me.
lady: i'm not asking for cash, i just need help getting back home, i need some gas. My family along with my daughters have been staying at the hospital and we don't have the money to front right now. I just need some gas to get back home to Anaheim and return, if you want, you can take down my information. My daughters have been trying to stay at the hospital but their minors and the hospital won't allow that.
me: alright time's are tough right now but is it ok if I just give you 10 dollars worth of gas? You see, I'm a student and like every one else, I am also struggling financially.
lady: that's enough help, God bless your heart, I wish more people in this city were more like you.

so i go over to help her out and run my credit card at the pump that she's at. I pray bout what I'm about to do that she doesn't do anything stupid. she takes the cheapest gas and I figure she's gonna ask for more and run it past $10.00. but she stops at the exact amount and offers to give me her information. I respectfully decline and take my receipt and leave.
