Manny Pacquiao's morning routine @ UNLV track

after watching 24/7 with manny and de la hoya, i noticed that Manny run's at the UNLV track. Just so happened I was about a football field lengths away when he was at campus that December, I was so close yet so far. Now sticking to the current events posted online, sources put up the date to when Manny was making his grand entrance at Mandalay bay. That entrance got pretty packed and very un organized. This morning Anthony and I went to the track to check if Manny was there, no cigar. So I had to leave because of my FINAL radiation physics exam that I had to take. I got out of that exam ASAP only to find out that Manny was already at the track. Anthony, being the super cool guy that he is, gave me the right glove to get signed and he kept the left. The left glove being the left hook that Manny uses at the Manila ICE to knock out his opponents. As I sped through the back roads of campus i saw a small crowd watching manny there. On attendence were his entourage, Freddy Roach, Buboy, and Micahel Moorer (former heavy weight that got knocked out by George Foreman, I wonder if he owns a foreman grill :-p).
Spoke to Roach and asked
-what round freddy?
freddy looked at me and with a delayed response said "uhh I'll take the under, Manny's going to knock him out before the 9th."
-nice, so this is coming from the trainer himself... lets go put our bets in
Immediately, freddy said "no, not yet, the 'brits' are flying in this afternoon and they're all going to drop their bets on Hatton, wait for the lines to change because the odds will drastically move, then place your bets, more money for you."
-Thanks for the info Freddy.

toward the end, I didn't get a chance to grab Manny's autography, althought i did get the 3 trainers, moorer, roach, and buboy. I'll try again. its my ultimate goal!

Manny Pacquiao's arrival @ the Mandalay Bay

slept @ 4:30, woke up @ 7:30. had to knock out my Lab practical which i got a hundred on and went straight to Mandalay bay to wait for Manny's arrival. Upon getting there, you could see the mass of people, mainly the press. Anthony, Richard, Lareina, and I were with a bunch of other manny fans and HBO sports UK came up to ask us a couple questions and to film our prideful shirts. He arrived and unfortunately my camera lens is broken so I could only get a few shots. If you want to see more coverage go to IRANTHONY.BLOGSPOT.COM

holy week poem

This poem was sent by one of my uncles back in Hawaii. thought it was catchy so maybe share it with every one who READS. :-p Have a blessed and wonderful day!

If God can move you from January to December,
He will move you From Shame to Fame,
Insult to Result, Sorry to Glory,
Disgrace to His Grace,
Labour to Favour,
Mockery to Victory.
May the Lord raise you from Glory to Glory HAVE A BLESSED DAY REMEMBER
1. Give God what's right -- not what's left.
2. Man's way leads to a hopeless end -- God's way leads to an endless hope.
3. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.
4. He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.
5. In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma--but never let him be the period.
6. Don't put a question mark where God puts a period.
7. Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a face-lift.
8. When praying, don't give God instructions - just report for duty.
9. Don't wait for six strong men to take you to church.
10. We don't change God's message -- His message changes us.
11. The church is prayer-conditioned.
12. When God ordains, He sustains.
13. WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning.
14. Plan ahead -- It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
15. Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.
16. Suffering from truth decay? Brush up on your Bible.
17. Exercise daily -- walk with the Lord.
18. Never give the devil a ride -- he will always want to drive.
19. Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.
20. Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back.
21. He who angers you controls you.
22. Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop.
23. Give Satan an inch & he'll be a ruler.
24. Be ye fishers of men -- you catch them & He'll clean them.
25. God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
26. Now take 60 seconds and give this a shot! Let's just see if Satan stops this one. All you do is: Pray and Thank God for this beautiful Day.

spring break 09'- cali

its the beginning of spring break and I decided to follow a couple of my friends to cali. We head down south to attend the Loyola Marymount University's 2009 Luau. Performance made by tribal seeds. Pretty smooth drive. We end up getting there in about 4.5hrs despite all our rest stops. The spot we end up staying at is a pretty nice apartment. Later to realize that its literally right next to one of the landing strips at LAX. While in cali we decide to hit up Venice beach. All of us are "just along for the ride." That seems to be the quote of our spring break. We end up seeing a lunch wagon with a huge line and Patrick says, "where there's a long line, there's good food. that's where the locals go." I pull the car around and fortunately find parking in the crazy Venice area. The place is called kogi, where they serve a mix of Korean / Mexican food. food was awesome, walked the venice strip. and head over to the Luau. AT the Luau we were served kalua pork, shoyu chicken, lomi salmon (fkn bomb), kings bread sweet hawaiian rolls, haupia, and fresh pineapple. Dinner was followed by a pre-party method headed by one of our boys anthony, and then tribal seeds. Last day in LA and we head back to vegas.
