Cybertron Legacy

Transformers : The dark of the moon
recently saw this movie over the weekend. These movies are always long, nevertheless very entertaining. I thought they made the story line creative with historical fiction on what was really discovered on the moon. Makes you wonder what really exists beyond what we have discovered in space.

Radiology Graduation '11

Congrats once again to our students. Its been a year since c/o '10 has graduated and now its c/o '11's turn. Good luck to you graduates on taking the ARRT registy, time to study!

Radiology student potluck

Another cycle of radiology students has come to an end. They will continue their journey to advance and prosper in the field of Medical Imaging. Its been a pleasure working with you three as students. Congrats Jackie, Dennis, and Kriezl upon completion of your clinical program, and I wish you the best in your future decisions.

SUP

First time standup paddling at the lake. Its always good to get away from the Vegas heat. What started out as a sunny day ending ending in somewhat a gloomy ending. I've heard from many that the Lake is dirty, filled with dead bodies from Vegas mobs who used to take guys out and cement their feet for them to sink to the bottom. Once we got there, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Not quite the beaches like Hawaii, Boulder Beach is a recreational spot where you can bring your personal watercraft, ie; boat, jetski, or paddleboard, to go out and enjoy the water which is exactly what we did.
We had rentals, which looked almost similar to kayaks instead of the typical wide/long surfboard stand up paddleboards. Keeping your balance is key while using the paddle to push you through the water. As we paddled out, the current would constantly change due to the wind. The day went on and you could see a set of dark gray clouds heading our way. At one point they changed direction toward a different mountain line away from the lake. And all of a sudden the rest of it came our way.
A bunch of us went out for our last session and all of a sudden the wind took us out. I paddled back as hard as I could because I heard the thunder and saw the lightning strikes coming closer to the lake. In my head flashed visions of electricity and water conduction with fishes in the water, the outcome wasnt to good and I applied that to us being in the lake. Unfortunately I had to call the police boat to rescue the rest of my friends who had a difficult time getting back to shore.
Upon getting back, the weather started to to get worst and hard drops of rain landed in our area. A short while later 50+mph winds started to blow gusts across the lake which made it hard to distinguish land from water. Fortunately it was only a short period of time, and luckily, none of us was in the water when that happened. A crazy experience, but that won't stop us from going back to the lake sometime in the future.

Aruba Panoramic

Orangestad, Downtown:
Capital of Aruba. Flea market/swap meet to the right, alongside the water. Across is the plaza shopping area with a bunch of different shops to choose from.
Aruba Surf Club- Mariott :
we stayed here for the week. Awesome place with nice views. The beaches are walking distance from the towers, with a pool right in the middle of the resort. Swimming at either beach or pool is easily accessible. There's a lot of iguanas lingering on the premises, but they're not aggressive at all...unless you attempt to grab them.
Docks in the AM:
Many fishermen go out to sea from these docks and return with a variety of Atlantic Ocean shallow water fish. Most sell them to the bordering restaurants which serve the tourists that stay at the hotels. Occasionally, they'll sell you fish for the right price if willing.
Downtown:
Once again another view of the piers in downtown Orangestad. Many yachts and private boats set sail from here. From time to time, a royal Caribbean cruise ship will anchor down for tourists to set foot on the island and galavant the wonderful area.
Alto Vista Chapel:
small chapel located on the North shore of Aruba. Alto Vista, also known as "pilgrims church," was built by a Catholic Spanish Missionary in 1750 converting local Indians to the Christian Catholic faith.

Arc Reactor

Dreamt that wires came out of my chest connected to a battery. Woke up an tried to interpret it. I think I'm too much of a marvel fan. It was probably a reference to Iron Man with Tony Stark connected to an arc reactor. It felt more like a bomb than something to power my heart.

"Lucky You Live Hawaii"

You really don't know what you have until it's gone. A place that I will always hold close to my heart. Although I may not live here anymore, it'll always be considered home.
