I've been messing around with a lot of go pro DIY tutorials and accessories now.  One of my favorite ones is the go pro pole. Over the years, I've tried using pvc pipe with bike grip handles and end caps, which can be found at your nearest hard ware store.  Cheap and innovative but very time consuming.  My second verson that I've tried was using a plastic dustpan handle which is also a cheap and easy method.  That method barely requires and effort, just clamp on the bike seat handle bar mount and you're ready to go.  Recently , a friend of mine used a teloscopic paint handle to make a pole.  this method is also easy to do, and allows you to control the length of how wide you want the viewing area to be.  Enjoy the tutorial.
